How to Choose the Right Watch Strap Size

Choose a watch strap that matches the width between your watch’s lugs—the two points where the strap attaches. You can find this measurement with a ruler or check the size marking on your existing strap. For example, a 20 mm lug width requires a 20 mm strap.

1. Measure Your Watch’s Lug Width

Remove the existing strap and use a ruler with millimeter markings to measure the inside distance between the two lugs, as shown by the red lines in the sizing image.
If the distance is 2 cm (20 mm), choose a 20 mm strap. Measure the gap carefully; the watch case diameter is a different measurement.

2. Check the Marking on Your Existing Strap

Look at the underside of your current strap for a size marking.
In the example shown, “20–18” means 20 mm at the watch connection and 18 mm at the buckle. When choosing the replacement strap width, use the first number: 20 mm.
If the marking is missing or unclear, measure the lug width directly.

3. Common Sizing Questions

Does 20 mm tell me the strap length? No. It refers to the strap’s width at the watch connection. Check the product’s strap length or wrist-size range separately for a comfortable fit.
Can I choose a slightly wider or narrower strap? Choose the exact width that matches your watch’s lugs. An incorrect width may prevent proper installation or leave unwanted gaps.

4. Confirm Your Size Before Ordering

Check your measurement against the size options on the product page before ordering.
